Golden Beach by Nita Engle

 

"Any mention of the Pacific coastline creates an image in my mind of unlimited expanses of land, sea and sun, of sand dunes and rocky headlands, of salt marshes and long, long beaches...This watercolor could have been called 'Magic Beach'. As I studied the long reach of the tide coming in, water flowing and receding, reflections coming and going, I found it almost impossible to isolate the constantly shifting patterns and colors. The sun was shining directly on the cliffs, making them glow with red, gold, orange, yellow, rust - all combined in the water with the blues from the sky overhead and the deep blue sea beyond." - Nita Engle.
