Often, we will come to a clearing that may uncover evidence of an old roadbed or a trail that could have been used by early settlers or Native Americans long ago. Treasures like these seem to peak my interest and usually make inspiring painting subjects for me, as did this meadow, not far from my studio." - L. Buck
