UNCONQUERABLE by Luke Frazier.

This last spring, Luke was honored to join 36 other artists at “Wildlife for a New Century,” an international invitational exhibit at the National Museum of Wildlife Art in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Unconquerable was one of his most admired contributions, perhaps because it strongly reflected his firsthand observations of moose in their habitat. “I love chasing moose every fall in Alaska,” Luke says. “On many occasions during the evening, I’ll find myself on the edge of a muskeg [a bog-like meadow] and dream up a scene like this—a boss bull tending to his ladies. It’s not hard to do when the sky and earth seem to melt together in a beautiful harmonic melody of color.” Stretched size: 38"w x 24"h, published from the artist’s original oil painting. Reproduced as a giclée on canvas, enhanced with the artist’s original brushstrokes.

Canvas released 2000.
