We live close to the beautiful Wind River,” Greg remarks. “Bald eagles winter over here, attracted by fish that flourish from the warm springs flowing into it. I’ve studied the birds here and in Alaska and compared notes with a friend who’s an ardent eagle watcher in Washington State. In this image, I tried to convey the feeling of movement across the piece and exaggerated the values of light and dark to create mood and bring the eagles up close to the viewer.” The result?
